Hanna's Water-Proof pH Meter pHep®4 is an advanced instrument that has many features that can only be found in more expensive handheld instruments or laboratory pH meters. pHep®4 has an automatic one- or two-point calibration and automatic temperature compensation of the measured value. The large multi-line display shows the pH and temperature readings simultaneously, and a stability indicator informs users when a stable reading has been reached. The pH electrode is equipped with a unique renewable textile diaphragm. It can - as soon as the response is worse - simply pulled out by about 2 mm (about 8x), thereby eliminating any existing contamination or clogging. The device then measures again at the usual speed and the life of the electrode is effectively extended. The pH electrode HI73127 may, if necessary, e.g. when the pull-out diaphragm is exhausted, completely replaced.
